Job Role : Children In Our Care Team Manager Social Worker
Location : Durham, UK
Pay Rate : 27 – 36 per hour

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Manager Social Worker to join our Children In Our Care team in Durham. This role involves leading and managing a team of social workers responsible for providing support and interventions to children and young people in care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Children In Our Care team, including allocation of cases, supervision, and support of staff.
• Providing leadership and guidance to social workers in delivering high-quality services to children and young people in care.
• Conducting regular supervision and performance reviews of team members, and supporting their professional development.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children in care.
• Working collaboratively with partner agencies, including local authorities, schools, health services, and foster carers, to coordinate support and services for children and young people.
• Monitoring and reviewing care plans to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people in care.

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with registration.
• Substantial experience working with children and families within a social work setting.
• Experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably within a children’s services team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and partner agencies.
• Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children’s services and safeguarding
