We are excited to be hiring a new Assistant Team Manager – Occupational Therapist to join our fantastic Mole Valley team. The team is based in Mole Valley District Council, in Dorking in Surrey. This is a brilliant opportunity to lead a committed and supportive team of Occupational Therapists.
The role of the Occupational Therapy team is well established and the strengths that they bring to Adult Social Care are acknowledged within the whole team and by senior management. About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist with demonstrable experience as well as the ability to work autonomously and under pressure. This will involve managing a team of approximately 10 Occupational Therapy staff, ensuring that Occupational Therapy duty is managed and throughput via allocations is prioritised and operates efficiently.
You will ensure that Occupational Therapy reviews are completed in a timely manner and that Occupational Therapists respond effectively and appropriately to complex and urgent requests from both within and outside the team.
The ability to be able to make difficult and challenging decisions and support staff with advice and information is essential. We aim to ensure that all our residents have a positive experience when our Occupational Therapists work with them.
You will form part of our Management Team which consists of a Senior Manager, Team Manager, Duty ATM, ATM, Safeguarding Advisor and Senior Practice Lead. Within the management function there will be some work across the team as a whole, which consists of Social Workers, Social Care Assistants, Safeguarding practitioners and Admin staff as well as the Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants.
